Take a look at the Spiritmaster as it  summons pets and cast spells / spirits.

 

At level 5 you unlock Blaze, a debuff that causes fire damage on a mob, but more importantly decreases its magic resistance for 30 seconds. Blaze is the second step of the fire skill chain, which starts with the Flame Bolt spells in the skill list. This means that you can’t use Blaze unless you use Flame Bolt first. One thing to keep in mind is that if you use a different skill after using Flame Bolt, you can’t use Blaze until you use Flame Bolt again. Although Blaze is insta-cast and can be used on the run, it’s on a long, 30 second cooldown.

Level 5 also gives you Erosion, a DoT (damage over time) attack. Erosion deals earth damage on a target every three seconds for 15 seconds and is on a three second cooldown. You also automatically unlock the passive skill Concentration, which means that when you’re using your active skills, you will be less likely to get interrupted by an opponent.

When you reach level 7, you receive a particularly useful skill, especially for a squishy class that can only wear cloth armor. Stone Skin forms a protective shield around you for five minutes that can absorb damage. The shield wears off once it reaches its maximum damage absorption, which varies according to your level. It is on a two minute cooldown, so if you encounter a particularly hard-hitting mob that quickly knocks out your Stone Skin, you may not have it up in time to face a subsequent mob. Still, once you unlock this skill, you’ll find yourself using it all the time.

Spiritmaster Skill

There are two types of skills – active and passive. Active skills refer to ones that you have to actively click to use. Passive skills are ongoing and mainly refer to certain characteristics, such as the ability to wear a certain type of armor or use a specific type of weapon. The passive skills you get upon creation are the ability to wear standard clothing, wear standard cloth armor, and basic spellbook training.

The Level 1 active skills in the skill list are Flame Bolt, which inflicts magical fire damage on a target. It has a two second induction and a one second cool down. Restraint is a crowd control (CC) skill, which immobilizes your target for 20 seconds. (Break on damage?) Although it can be casted on the run, it has a one minute cooldown, so learn the best opportunities to use it. Bandage Heal allows you to recover most of your health if you get injured from battle. This skill requires the use of bandages, which can be purchased from a vendor.

You also get the Return skill, which allows you to return to a specific town. The skill has a six second induction and is on a 20 minute cooldown. First you have to bind yourself to an obelisk, found in many towns and outposts. There is a fee charged every time you bind yourself to a new obelisk.

When you hit level 3, you’ll receive a message to talk to the Mage Trainer. There you can purchase the Ice Chain skill, which slows down your enemy for 12 seconds.

 

Basic Attributes

Once you enter the game, take a minute or two to familiarize yourself with the user interface (UI). HP are your Health Points, which refer to the amount of health you have. MP are your Magic Points, which refer to the amount of magic you can use to fire off your spells. DP is earned by killing NPC enemies and can be used to power special skills, like improving your spirits companion’s health and attacks for a certain amount of time. Keep in mind that your collected DP disappears when you die, which is very frustrating considering the amount of time you spend earning it.
